, I’m 100% on board with what I think is your main point:That while he was probably lovely man, and that the restaurant people who knew him are probably genuinely mourning his loss… that doesn’t change the fact that if the restaurant chooses to continue marketing itself in this way, they’re also hypocrites.Weighing over 500 lbs, even at 6’8 is a terrible, terrible strain on all of your organs. Have you ever tried to breathe while a kindergartener sits on your chest? It’s not easy. Now imagine adding pneumonia to the mix. I’m not a doctor and – more importantly, I am not HIS doctor – but it’s not a leap to believe that his weight contributed to his death.Choosing to live a lifestyle that would seem to contribute to his weight situation was Mr. River’s choice. He’s paid the price, as will his family that is left behind.But the restaurant that was using him as a, well, figurehead (emphasis on the figure, in this case) trying to point at others as being cynical? Way to point out the speck in another’s eye while ignoring the post in your own, as the saying goes.
