The 2012 Fantasy Baseball Season is ON!
The OBFBL battle is underway and will be a long hard-fought grind to the finish.
We’ll see who’s left standing on September 30th when the OBFBL season concludes.
An annual tradition every year at this time is the OBFBL Pre-season poll. A chance for everyone in the O to predict what’s going to happen this year – in real baseball and in the OBFBL. Each of the 12 OBFBL’ers sent in their picks, and a few “expert” picks were included for fun (check out the right-most columns).
On to the picks.
OBFBL Predictions:
– The consensus favourite this year are the Ajax Super Sods, who were picked 5 times, and scored the most points. If the Sods can pull it off, it will mean their first Shooter Cup
– Other predicted winners include the London Tribe, Pickering Dynasty and Frankford Fury with 2 votes each, and Brooklin Legacy with 1
– The consensus top 5 are: 1) Ajax Super Sods, 2) Pickering Dynasty, 3) Frankford Fury, 4) Durham Dick Dogs, 5) Aurora Asshats
– The picks this year were all over the board, with the top 8 especially chosen in many different orders
– For storyline of the year, many predict that this will be an extremely close race amongst many teams, and potentially the toughest battle in the OBFBL ever
